About Dunlap, IL - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

The town of Dunlap was formally recognized by the government on June 12, 1871. It, like so many towns in the area, has amazing culture and history as well as awesome nature and outdoor activities. That is not even mentioning local festivals, parties, etc. This is a traditional Midwestern town with a lot of character.  If you find yourself in the area, you should definitely check out Grandview Drive: two and a half miles of scenic road with a view of the Illinois River from huge portions. It is an amazing place to take in the amazing seasonal landscapes in the area. Colorful leaves in the autumn followed by icy winters and then sunshiny spring days. Summers are all about kids at the pool, popsicles and hometown fun.

Eureka College is a private, non-profit Christian college in Eureka, Illinois with degree programs that include:

  • education
  • business
  • history
  • political science
  • communication
  • the fine and performing arts

The campus has had its share momentous and notable events. The U.S. president Abraham Lincoln visited and spoke 1856 but that is nothing compared to the college's most famous alumni: Ronald Reagan, who graduated in 1932. He got a degree in economics and sociology, and the school has a museum dedicated to the former student and Reagan has continued to be closely associated with the school’s legacy.

However, private colleges can be expensive and it can be very smart to explore alternatives. The local community college offers an overabundance transferable programs and professional certificate programs. The average class size is small with just 14 students. The East Peoria Campus alone has the following buildings:

  • the Performing Arts Center
  • the Caterpillar Dealer Service Technology Program
  • the General Motors Automotive Service Educational program
  • the David R. Leitch Career and Counseling Center
  • the Lee Morgan School of Industrial Technology

You will definitely want to check out the campus if you have a kid going to college in the near future. The autumn season is particularly gorgeous on the property.
